THE ARTS SOCIETY
.
The Arts Society (formerly NADFAS) is a network of over 90,000 people worldwide - brought together through a shared curiosity for the arts and our artistic heritage. It offers enjoyable opportunities to discover and support the arts of yesterday, today and tomorrow, wherever you are. Arts Society events provide welcoming places - locally, nationally and globally - to hear excellent lecturers share their specialist knowledge about the arts.

Art History Lectures and Study Days
Lectures follow, approximately, three areas of interest: art materials and techniques, the way we 'read' art, and the context of art e.g. the history of women artists and of styles and genres.
Most lectures are 1 hour's duration. This can, of course, be extended to include tea breaks and/or q and a.
If you would like to explore a topic in greater depth please look at study days or courses. These are perfect for smaller groups (say 40 or fewer) with a more relaxed atmosphere which encourages discussion and informal questions.
All lectures are beautifully illustrated with high resolution digital slides: a feast for the eyes as well as food for thought!
